Micropipe — Refund Policy
This policy explains when a Micropipe purchase can be withdrawn from or refunded, what happens to the licence when it is, and how to ask. It forms part of our Terms of Sale and Licence (now-select.com/micropipe/terms); "purchaser", "holder", "order" and "key" mean what they mean there. Nothing in it takes away any right you have under law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's role covers payment, receipts, billing questions and refunds; support for Micropipe itself is provided by Omega.
1. In short
| Who refunds you | Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, normally within 14 days of approval. We cannot refund you directly. |
| Business customers | Purchases are final. We refund where we have failed to supply, where Micropipe is materially defective and we cannot put it right, or where the law requires. Anything else is at our discretion. |
| Consumers | Online purchases normally carry a 14-day right to withdraw. Because Micropipe is supplied immediately, the checkout requires you to confirm that you want immediate access and that you understand you lose that right; the purchase cannot be completed otherwise. You keep 14 days after a free trial converts, and, in the UK, 14 days after each annual renewal. |
| Cancelling a subscription is not a refund | Cancelling stops future charges; the licence runs to the end of the period already paid for. |
| What a refund does to the licence | A full refund switches off every key on the order immediately. A partial refund switches off the number of whole keys it covers, named by the purchaser. Saved work stays available read-only for 90 days. |
| Chargebacks | Please contact Paddle or us first. A chargeback switches off every key on the order at once; if it is reversed, they come back automatically. |
2. How purchases and refunds work
2.1 When you buy Micropipe you buy from Paddle, who sells our licences as an authorised reseller and takes your payment. Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's Refund Policy (paddle.com/legal) apply to the purchase alongside this policy; where Paddle's policy gives you more than this one does, you get the more generous of the two.
2.2 Every refund is processed and paid by Paddle, to the payment method you used, normally within 14 days of the request being approved. Where this policy says that we refund, we mean that we instruct Paddle to refund.
2.3 Prices are charged in the currency of your order; refunds are made in the same currency.
3. Business customers
3.1 If you bought Micropipe for your trade, business, craft or profession — which includes sole traders and employees buying for their work — you have no right to withdraw from a completed purchase and no automatic right to a refund.
3.2 We will refund a business customer in full where:
(a) you paid but no licence key was delivered to the email address you gave, and we cannot resolve it within two working days of your telling us;
(b) Micropipe has a material defect that prevents you using the features described on our public page, you have reported it to support, and we have not put it right within a reasonable time; or
(c) a payment was taken in error — for example a duplicate charge, or a charge after a subscription was cancelled in time.
3.3 In any other case — including buying the wrong term, buying more keys than you needed, a key that was never claimed, or deciding Micropipe is not what you wanted — a refund is at our discretion (section 9.4).
3.4 There is no refund for the unused part of a paid period when a subscription is cancelled, when a key is removed from an order, when a licence holder stops using Micropipe, or when a licence is revoked for breach of the Terms of Sale.
4. Consumers — the right to withdraw
This section applies if you are an individual buying wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession.
4.1 The 14-day right. Consumers who buy online normally have the right to withdraw from the purchase for any reason within 14 days of the day Paddle confirms the payment, and receive a full refund. For a subscription this right attaches to the first payment.
4.2 Your confirmation at the checkout. Micropipe is digital content supplied online, and your keys are issued and usable the moment the purchase completes. Before you can complete a purchase, the checkout requires you to confirm that you want immediate access and that you understand you will lose your right to withdraw. By giving that confirmation you lose the right for every key on the order from the moment the purchase completes. If you would rather keep the right, do not complete the purchase. Your order confirmation email records your consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that the right is lost.
4.3 After a free trial converts. You have a fresh 14 days from the day of the first charge to withdraw and receive that charge back, regardless of the confirmation you gave at the start of the trial.
4.4 Annual renewals in the United Kingdom. If you bought in the UK and hold an annual subscription, you have a fresh 14 days from each annual renewal to withdraw and receive that renewal payment back.
4.5 Monthly renewals and other cases. There is no right to withdraw from a monthly renewal payment once it has been taken; cancel the subscription before the renewal date instead (section 6).
4.6 How to withdraw. Tell us or Paddle before the period ends, in any clear statement: use "Request refund" at paddle.net, reply to your receipt, email support@omega-solutions.co.uk, or send the model cancellation form at the end of this policy, quoting your order reference. You do not have to give a reason. The refund is made within 14 days of your notice, to the payment method you used, and the keys concerned are revoked when it is made (their holders keep read-only access for 90 days).
4.7 Faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. Separately from the right to withdraw, if Micropipe does not match its description, is not of satisfactory quality or is not fit for purpose, you are entitled under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to have it put right or to a price reduction, and in some cases a refund. Contact support first; if we cannot resolve it, contact Paddle with details of the problem and our response.
5. What a refund does to the licence
5.1 Full refund. A full refund of an order revokes every key on that order immediately. Each key's holder can still open Micropipe read-only for 90 days to view, export and print their saved projects, but cannot calculate.
5.2 Partial refund. A partial refund removes from the order the number of whole keys the refunded amount covers at the order's unit price. The purchaser names the keys on the order page; the named keys are revoked immediately, their holders are emailed, and the order's next renewal is reduced to match. A refund of less than one key's price does not change the order.
5.3 Trials. A trial key claimed with an email address that has already had a trial is refused and the trial cancelled; if the trial had already converted and been charged, that charge is refunded.
6. Cancelling a subscription
6.1 Annual and monthly licences renew automatically until cancelled. We email the purchaser 30 and 7 days before an annual charge and 7 days before a monthly charge.
6.2 You can cancel at any time through Paddle's customer portal, reached from the link in any charge notice or on your order page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: the keys keep working until then and nothing further is charged. Cancelling does not refund the current period, except where section 4 gives a consumer the right to withdraw.
6.3 If you intended to cancel before a renewal but the charge was taken, tell us within 14 days of the charge. For UK consumers on an annual subscription the refund is a right (section 4.4); in other cases we consider a refund at our discretion (section 9.4).
7. Failed renewal payments
If a renewal payment fails, every key on the order stops calculating at the end of the paid period and resumes automatically as soon as a retry succeeds. Nothing is refunded for the gap and the retried charge is the same renewal amount; if Paddle's retries are exhausted the subscription is cancelled and the keys expire.
8. Chargebacks
8.1 If you dispute a charge through your bank or card issuer, every key on the affected order is revoked and its devices disconnected as soon as we are notified, and Paddle contests the dispute under its own procedures. If the dispute is resolved in your favour nothing further happens; if it is reversed, the keys are restored and the devices reconnected automatically.
8.2 Please contact Paddle (paddle.net) or us (support@omega-solutions.co.uk) before raising a dispute. Most problems — an unrecognised charge, a forgotten renewal, a key that never arrived — are quicker to resolve directly, and a chargeback cuts off every engineer on the order.
9. Asking for a refund
9.1 Through Paddle: paddle.net → "Request refund", or the links in your receipt. Paddle handles billing questions and processes all refunds.
9.2 Through us: support@omega-solutions.co.uk or +44 (0)1535 322111, Monday to Friday 09:00–17:00 UK time. Give the order reference and the email address used at the checkout. We respond by the next working day and, where a refund is due, instruct Paddle.
9.3 Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 14 days of approval. Paddle cannot refund card payments more than 120 days old to the card; it will contact you about an alternative.
9.4 Discretionary refunds. Where this policy says a refund is at our discretion, ask within 14 days of the payment concerned and tell us why; we consider each request on its facts. Paddle may also refund at its own discretion within 14 days of a payment under its own policy. A discretionary refund is voluntary and does not create a right to one in future.
10. Changes to this policy
The version of this policy published at now-select.com/micropipe/refunds on the date of a payment — the original purchase or, for a subscription, the renewal payment concerned — governs that payment, subject to clause 19 of the Terms of Sale (notice of changes that are to your detriment). We may change it for future payments.
Model cancellation form (consumers only)
Use this form only if you are a consumer and wish to withdraw under section 4. You may send it to us at the address below, or to Paddle through the "Request refund" option at paddle.net; please quote your order reference and the key(s) concerned. We pass any notice we receive to Paddle, which makes the refund.
